A welcome home decades in the making.

I had the privilege of joining Honor Flight Columbus as veterans returned home after spending the day in Washington, D.C., visiting the memorials built in recognition of their service and sacrifice.

Before the flight arrived, we spoke with the families and friends waiting for them. We heard what this experience meant to them, especially for the Vietnam veterans who returned home decades ago to a much different reception.

Thank you to Honor Flight Columbus for allowing me to document this experience and speak with the veterans and families who were there.
